Humankind’s push-pull approach to nuclear power controversy adds weight to proliferation menace
KALININGRAD/ST. PETERSBURG - Having put the frightening years of the Cold War behind it, the world has all but forgotten about the threat of nuclear proliferation – only to find itself staring right in the face of this ever escalating problem. Hush little baby, don’t you cry, Papa’s gonna buy you a …nuclear plant

[ Posted 28.04.2008 12:19 in Galina Raguzina's blog by Galina Raguzina ]
It just so happened the other night that I had a dream – and I remembered it. It’s an extraordinary event, basically, because for the most part, either I don’t dream at all or I don’t remember what I’ve just dreamt about. Shortly after that, another event occurred, and a truly extraordinary one this time: A bunch of complete strangers chose our city – the city I was born in and where I live, and where my mother and my children live – they chose our city for nothing else than building a new nuclear power plant.
