NORTHWEST RUSSIA RENEWABLE ENERGY FORUM
September 15-16, 2009, Meridian Conference Hotel, Murmansk, Russia

In April 2008, Bellona established the Northwest Russia Renewable Energy Forum as an arena for multi-sector and cross-border cooperation in development of renewable energy in Northwest Russia. This conference of the Northwest Russia Renewable Energy Forum is jointly organized by Bellona, the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Murmansk Oblast Energy Efficiency Center. The conference will discuss the questions of development of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Northwest Russia, including legislative and economic issues. Separate sessions will set focus on wind energy, small hydro energy, tidal power, and energy efficiency. The conference will be held in English and Russian with simultaneous interpretation.
